Approx. a year ago, Panama’s well-known Law Firm with International operations Mossack Fonseca’s database, was hacked by an anonymous source that leaked a whopping 2.6 Terabytes of data and send them to Süddeutsche Zeitung, one of the largest German newspapers. This was profound for the journalists that had the data in their hands as the amount of data was really larger than they have ever experienced before.The hackers were able to access company’s database, emails, PDFs, transcripts, images, and other formats of data that contain sensitive and encrypted company and client information and dealings. The “news” got hotter, when it was exposed that the company’s dealings included dirty money transactions from mafia sources and corrupted governmental bodies.
