Webinar
Up until the arrival of the World Wide Web, in-person seminars were usually the norm when attempting to reach to a certain target audience in a personalized manner. The thing is, while actual offline seminars still have some value (they are highly engaging), many people will avoid them for various reasons: their place/location is out of reach, the time is inconvenient, some people just don’t feel comfortable interacting with others in real person, etc.
Time and space limits here don’t apply
This is where webinars come into play—Webinars, unlike their traditional counterparts, offer the following benefits to your target audience:
They can be watched anytime from any place with an online connection. Time and space limits here don’t apply. If you launch a webinar online, the webinar could be accessed from anywhere at any time, depending on how open or close your webinar is to the people. For example, are you going to offer this webinar link exclusively to your e-mail leads? Or are you going to make it available to all visitors of your website. Either case, the webinar will be available to your specific target audience from anywhere and anytime it feels convenient to them.
Webinar vs Seminar
They are less costly and hassle-free than regular seminars. Regular seminars have various costs: you pay for renting the place (if it’s not yours), you pay for the equipment, and you’ll also have to pay any other speakers that will present the seminar with you. Not only this is costly—it is extremely time consuming as well, as you’ll have to coordinate and arrange many things for your seminar to be ready e.g. finding the right place, contacting and closing the deal with the owner of the place, setting a budget, finding and testing your equipment, etc.
On the other hand, webinars are much cheaper and you don’t always have to do them yourself. Internet is full of inbound marketers and freelance professionals that would gladly take over of all the theoretical and practical aspects of your webinar, depending on your goals, your budget, and the target audience you wish to reach. Very often, all these professionals (individuals, companies) offer their services at very competitive prices that are almost always below the costs of traditional seminars. If you have all the technical specifications and skills to make a webinar yourself e.g. high-res camera, editing programs, coding, etc, even better. Imagine how much money and time you’ll save…
