Creating Proactive Social Media Campaigns

When it comes to social media, there are millions of people who use them on a daily basis for various reasons. The thing is, while most people use social media for daily and personal interactions, there are still considered vast pools of potential for online marketers: they increase awareness for your brand, they attract leads, they can convert these leads into customers, and in turn-these customers might spread the world about your product or service to other social media users, and act as “influencers”.

Therefore, it is evident here that we have a very powerful weapon in our hands that when used appropriately, it can greatly enhance your efforts to establish yourself as a leading and influencing entity in your field.
While social media are not the only means to promote your content, they can greatly enhance your inbound marketing efforts and maximise the efficiency of all other methods e.g. websites, corporate blogs, webinars, e-books, etc. In fact, most inbound marketers agree that social media should be used in conjunction with other methods to bring the best results and they shouldn’t be removed or underused in any your inbound marketing campaigns. They really work!!

Now, your corporate presence in popular social media will have a more systematic and different approach than your personal presence for obvious reasons. You’ll have to decide first which are the messages you are going to send to your target audience and the times/frequency they are going to be posted. Now many inbound marketing blogs may argue that you must post a certain X (number) times to maintain a regular presence, but this should not be your primary concern as its actually the quality of your content that will matter the most in the long-run. You’ll have to be proactive and encourage engagement within your target audience—after all, this is the sole purpose behind social media creation: to encourage users to share content and interact with others. Thus, give your target audience some good reasons to keep following your social media content: offer interesting and high-quality info, be personal, and above all be communicative and responsive to all customer requests. That way, you’ll not only effectively reach your target audience, you will establish a presence and reputation as an industry leader who’s really understands and responds to the industry’s trends and ever-changing needs, knows what customers want, and what value they can offer to them.
